Développé par la startup HémoFAB, FAV Protector est une solution innovante pour protéger la fistule artérioveineuse et assurer sa longévité pour les patients sous hémodialyse. La fistule artérioveineuse (FAV) est utilisée comme point d'accès au traitement d'hémodialyse pour les patients souffrant d'insuffisance rénale. FAV Protector est un brassard de protection personnalisable, bientôt médicalement approuvé, offrant des options de soins de santé et de mode. L’objectif de ce prototype et double : prévenir et protéger les patients souffrant d’insuffisance rénale et sous hémodialyse, et les encourager à accepter leur nouvelle vie.
Fondateur : Arrivée en France en tant que demandeuse d'asile politique, Bonney Magambo obtient en 2014 son statut de réfugiée. En 2020, elle fonde la start-up HémoFab. Ancienne infirmière devenue patiente sous hémodialyse, l'idée d'HémoFAB est née de son expérience personnelle. Elle a décidé d'utiliser son énergie et son temps pour trouver des solutions innovantes pour la communauté des hémodialysés, en commençant par son premier produit FAV Protector. Elle est aussi membre du conseil de décision de l'association SINGA Lyon.
Living well while under hemodialysis
Developed by the start-up HémoFAB, FAV Protector is an innovative solution to protect the arteriovenous fistula (AVF) and ensure its longevity for patients on haemodialysis. The AVF is used as an access point to haemodialysis treatment for patients suffering from renal failure. FAV Protector is a customizable protective cuff that will soon be medically approved, and that offers health care and fashion options. The goal of this prototype is twofold: to prevent and protect kidney failure patients on haemodialysis, and to encourage them to embrace their new life.
Founder: After arriving in France as a political asylum seeker, Bonney Magambo received her refugee status in 2014. In 2020, she founded the start-up HémoFAB. As a former nurse who became a patient, the idea for HémoFAB was born out of her personal experience. She decided to focus both her energy and time in finding innovative solutions for the haemodialysis community, starting with her first product: FAV Protector. She is also a member of the decision-making board of the SINGA Lyon association
